Privacy Notice

This screener helps you check your hearing using animal sounds. This notice explains what we collect, why, who processes it on our behalf, and the choices you have. It is written to be accurate about how your data actually flows, rather than to claim it never leaves our systems.
What we collect
Your responses during the test and the hearing profile we calculate from them (per-band classifications and an overall percentile). If you choose to receive your results, we also collect the email address and any name you provide.
Why we use it
To show and email you your results, to operate and improve the screener, and, only if you opt in separately, to send you hearing-health tips and product updates. Asking for your results never opts you into marketing.
Who processes it
We use service providers that process this data on our behalf under contract. Depending on how you took the test (online, in-store, or through a partner), these can include:
- Baserow: stores your test record and contact details
- Resend: delivers your results email
- Vercel: hosts the site and provides privacy-aware usage analytics
- For purchases, support, and shipping: Shopify, Square, Gorgias, and ShipStation
- If a clinic or partner started your test, your results are shared with that partner
We do not sell your data.
Your choices
- Universal opt-out: if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we turn marketing off and do not load usage analytics for you.
- Marketing: opting in is separate and optional; you can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
- Access, correction, deletion: you can ask us to access, correct, or delete your data by emailing privacy@oido.us.
